PrintPoint Requirements
This page lists the hardware and operating system requirements for the Macintosh and Windows versions of PrintPoint. Keep in mind that PrintPoint offers you complete capability. This means you can mix and match any combination of Macintosh and Windows clients and servers on the same PrintPoint system!
 

5.x Single User or Client Workstation

Macintosh System Requirements:

Gifball G5, Intel
Gifball Mac OS X (10.3.8 or higher)
Gifball RAM: Minimum: 512 MB. Recommend 1 Gig.
Gifball Hard disk with 100 MB of free space.
Gifball CD-ROM drive (or connection to Local Area Network if installing over network).
Gifball Monitor supporting thousands of colors or higher, with 1024 x 768 or higher resolution (1200 x 800 is recommended as a minimum because the next version of PrintPoint will require the additional screen space. (11/5/2010))

Windows System Requirements:

Gifball Pentium, Celeron or AMD current model processor.
Gifball Windows XP Professional, Windows Professional 2000 (SP2). Vista or Windows 7
Gifball RAM: Minimum: 512 MB. Recommended: 1Gig.
Gifball Hard disk with 100 MB of free space.
Gifball CD-ROM drive (or connection to Local Area Network if installing over network).

PrintPoint 5.x Server

Macintosh Server Requirements:

Gifball G5, Intel
Gifball Mac OS X (10.3.8 or higher)
Gifball Ram: 512 MB of RAM or more.
Gifball A dedicated server is required to run PrintPoint Server.
Gifball 150 MB or greater hard disk space; approximately 20 MB per user is recommended.
Gifball CD-ROM drive.

Windows Server Requirements:

Gifball Pentium, Celeron or AMD current model processor.
Gifball Windows XP Professional, Windows Professional 2000 (SP2), Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server, Vista, Windows 7. XP Preferred
Gifball 512 MB of RAM to run PrintPoint Server only; more memory is required to run additional services (1 GB or more RAM recommended).
Gifball A dedicated server is required to run PrintPoint Server.
Gifball 150 MB or greater hard disk space; approximately 20 MB per user is recommended.
Gifball CD-ROM drive.

Additional Recommended Services:

Gifball Fast Ethernet (100BaseT) for Client/Server installations.
Gifball Ethernet 100BaseT Switch.
Gifball Broadband (DSL, Cable or Tx) Internet Connection to access PrintPoint Update Server.
