PrintPoint ships with hundreds of Inks, including most of the standard Pantone Matching System inks and all process color inks. These inks are stored as records in the Ink database, categorized by Name and Type.
Additionally, PrintPoint contains an Calculated Method Ink Table which stores coverage and pricing information for each ink type on different types of paper. PrintPoint provides two methods of pricing inks on estimates: flat and calculated.
The Flat Ink Method is associated with an individual press, and is typically used for smaller jobs.
The Calculated Method for pricing ink is based on the Ink Table, which takes multiple factors into account, including the ink type, the paper type, and the amount of coverage
